MARCHAND ANNOUNCES TOP-TIER CONSULTING TEAM

(PORTSMOUTH, NH)--Steve Marchand's Campaign for U.S. Senate today announced their team of top-tier national political consultants.  The team includes polling, direct mail, and media support.

"We are excited to add some of the nation's most successful political strategists to our campaign team," said Marchand Campaign Coordinator David Mason. "With their advice, we will continue to build on the campaign's growing momentum and support among New Hampshire's grassroots."

MEDIA

Tom Ochs and John Lapp (McMahon, Squier, Lapp & Assoc.)

Long-time campaign veterans, Tom Ochs and John Lapp have worked on the front line of Democratic politics for over a decade.  Their firm's media and political experience spans over several decades and includes congressional, statewide, and national candidates at every level.  They are credited as being principal architects of the Democrats' takeover of the House in 2006.  Most recently, Lapp served as Executive Director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 2005-06 cycle.  Tom Ochs managed Gov. Howard Dean's successful race for Chair of the Democratic National Committee and continues to consult closely with Dean at the DNC.

 DIRECT MAIL

Ed Peavy & Adnaan Muslim (Mission Control, LLC)

Led by partners Ed Peavy and Adnaan Muslim, Mission Control is one of the most successful direct mail advertising agencies in the country.  In 2002 and 2004, they were the only Democratic firm to unseat Republican incumbents without the help of redistricting.  Last year, they worked in 13 of 30 districts where Democrats defeated Republican incumbents, including Paul Hodes' upset win over six-term incumbent Charlie Bass in New Hampshire's Second Congressional District.

 POLLING

Jill Normington (Bennett, Petts, & Normington)

A partner in her firm, Jill Normington has over a decade of experience in survey research.  She represents members of Congress across the country, including Melissa Bean (IL-04), who in 2004 defeated the longest-serving Republican member of the House of Representatives.

Steve Marchand is the Mayor of Portsmouth, NH. He is the former Northeast Director of the Concord Coalition and Associate State Director of AARP New Hampshire. His campaign website is www.stevemarchand.com.
