(PORTSMOUTH, NH) - Mayor Steve Marchand's U.S. Senate campaign announced the recent hiring of two well-respected staff members and the opening of its first campaign office.

"We are excited to have a strong team and great office space early in the campaign," said Marchand. "New Hampshire voters expect a true grassroots campaign.  These latest steps are part of bringing our message of strong, dynamic leadership and New Hampshire values directly to the voters."

Recent staff hires include:

•    Campaign Coordinator David Mason-David is the veteran of numerous successful New England campaigns.  Most recently, he served as Finance Director for Congressman Paul Hodes' record-breaking fundraising effort in New Hampshire's Second Congressional District.

•    Finance Associate J.P. Boyle-A Stratham, NH native and UNH-alum, J.P. served as Deputy Finance Director for New Haven, CT Mayor John DeStefano's 2006 gubernatorial campaign.  DeStefano raised over $5 million, more then any other Democratic gubernatorial candidate in state history.  J.P. also served on Gen. Wesley Clark's 2004 NH Steering Committee.

The new campaign office is located at 1 Middle St. in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
